Mercuriall released it’s new guitar amp simulation plugin, named Euphoria, modeled after a Bogner Ectasy 101B and after more than 1 year of development efforts. The plugin can be run from a DAW (VST/AU/AXX) and offers as well a standalone mode. Mercuriall has modeled the 3 channels of the original amp (Green, Blue, Red) and the simulation even includes an optional “factory mod” (Cameron mod). The simulation includes the multiple modes available on the amp (boost, structure,…)

Plugin Euphoria

The plugin is articulated around the following sections :

  • Pre amp effects
  • The Bogner preamp section
  • Power amp section
  • Guitar Cab sections
  • Post amp effects
Euphoria : components

All of these sections/components can be activated or deactivated, according to your choices and your tone setup.

The PRE FX section includes a noise gate, a WAH pedal (CryBaby 535Q), three overdrive pedals (TS808, Grid Slammer, Super Overdrive) and one distortion pedal : the Metal Zone MT-2 from Boss.

The preamp section seems very complete and models the 12AX7 section and the tone stack of the Bogner : all of the settings seem to be present (gain boost, structure, plexi mode, pre-eq,…).

The power amp section is based on EL34 tubes.

The guitar cab section embeds RedWirez IRs and allows for graphical setting of the mic position (x/y axis : distance and position in front of the speaker).

IRs et réglages

The following IRs are available with the plugin :

  • Bogner Uberkab 412 – 4×12 Celestion G12T-75
  • MESA/BOOGIE 412 – 4×12 Celestion V30s
  • Marshall 1960B – 4×12 Greenback
  • Marshall 1960B – 4×12 JBL K120 (vintage)

The available microphones are : Shure SM57, Sennheiser MD441, and a Royer R121. You can mix two microphones.

Users can also load custom IRs and can mix the main IR with a room (reverb) IR.

This cab section can also be turned off so that you can use a 3rd party impulse loader that can be setup after the Euphoria plugin.

And last, the post FX section include a chorus, a delay and one reverb, in stereo.

The input and output levels of the plugin can be defined and the Euphoria plugin includes the same vu-meters that the ones available in the Mercuriall SS-11X plugin, which are really well implemented and allow users to set the right input level for the guitar pickups signal. This is critical to get the best sound from amp simulations.

99,99$, (79,99$ if you are already a Mercuriall customer). Evaluation version available.
