November 20, 2022 : Hotone released last month a new firmware for the Ampero multi-effects : version 4.0 of the firmware is available alongside the 1.3.2 version of the Ampero Editor for Mac and PC.

The new firmware includes bug fixings and interesting new features :

  • New I/O level meters (similar to the Ampero II stomp) to display level of input and output signals in real time
  • A preset slider allowing for quick navigation in presets from the main display
  • A new on/off button for the main expression pedal in the main display screen
  • New Hotone Gated Boost (FX1/2)
  • New MXR 133 based Boost (FX1/2)
  • New Pitch Shift effect (FX1/2)
  • New amps :
    • Black Deluxe : Fender® Blackface Deluxe Reverb (normal channel)
    • Black Deluxe+ : Fender® Blackface Deluxe Reverb* (Vibrato channel)
    • Marshell SLP : Marshall® Super Lead 1959* (normal channel)
    • Marshell SLP+ : Marshall® Super Lead 1959* (bright channel)
    • Marshell SLP Jump : Marshall® Super Lead 1959* (“Jump” connection)
  • Optimized stock Cab IRs
