CAB and mics

The guitar cabinet on which this collection is based on is a Marshall™ 1936 Vintage cabinet (2*12), loaded with 2x Marshall™ G12 Vintage speakers (16 ohms).

• The preamp used is the “solid state preamp 2”
• Capture based on a UK-made 212 cabinet loaded with G12 Vintage speakers, 16 ohms
• 6 dynamic mics, 1 ribbon mic, 2 condenser mics, 93 IR files in WAV format, downsampled to 44,1 kHz
• Using updated publication format : 24 bits / 100 ms
• 9 microphones :
  • CND-2020 : condenser tone (inspired by an AT-2020 microphone)
  • CND-AU-1 : 2 distances (inspired by a LCT-440 microphone)
  • DYN-421 : typical 421 tone, more bass and more scooped than DYN-57
  • DYN-906 : solid dynamic tone, less aggressive than DYN-57 but still a lot of clarity
  • DYN-AT-2 : drum-kick microphone, strong bass section and scooped tone
  • DYN-I5 : typical -scooped- I-5 tone
  • DYN-US-6 : aggressive and mid-forward dynamic tone
  • RBN-160 : classic ribbon tone, more balanced than RBN-US-1 from the free collection. Bump also the 3 kHz area to get more clarity and presence.
  • DYN-85B : lot of clarity from this budget microphone (inspired by a MB-85B microphone)
