IK Multimedia has released version 1.10.1 of its Tonex system, which includes a new application dedicated to capturing and computing Tonex models.
Among the new features, IK Multimedia announces improved computation times for model creation, particularly on Mac (87% faster than before), with automatic interruption of learning when the best quality level is reached, improved fidelity of captured sounds, and better phase alignment between models.
The capture program has been redesigned and this functionality is now available as a dedicated application, called “TONEX Modeler” which now allows for recording multiple captures and process them in batches, a feature eagerly awaited by model creators. You can also interrupt a calculation session and resume it later…
Some of the steps present in the previous capture system are still present (like the initial choice of bass/guitar, choice of pedal, amp, full rig, etc.) but the capture now ends-up in a capture list: we can then, at will, place the models to be generated in the Training queue, and launch / interrupt / resume the calculations, before proceeding with a final generation phase of the model.
