January 3, 2021 : a new free guitar cabinet impulse responses collection is available. The guitar cabinet used for this collection is the \u00ab\u00a0UK-112\u00a0\u00bb cab, rear-loaded with a Jensen\u00ae Tornado Stealth 65 <\/strong>speaker (8 ohms).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This speaker has a very interesting tone and is definitly in the \u201cBritish\u201d tone family of speakers. It has a low-end similar to a Vintage 30, has a little bit more mids (sounds a little bit more honky, as it has a small spike around 600-650 Hz) and has a slightly relaxed treble section, very smooth compared to a V30. These small differences produce a very different feel : if you are mainly using V30’s, revisit your amp or pedal settings and eventually cut a little bit the 550-650 Hz area. This speaker, while smooth, is capable of a lot of clarity and supports very nicely heavily saturated tones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This collection is recorded with a solid-state preamp and contains 7 dynamic microphones, 2 ribbon microphones and 1 condenser mic, for a total of 98 IR files in WAV, 44 kHz format.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The following samples were created with the Stealth-65 IRs and with the following gear : EMG-81 \u2013 Spark \u2013 OD808 \u2013 Dark Terror \u2013 Torpedo Reload \u2013 Logic Pro X \u2013 Nadir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
