These riffs and songs remain the property of their copyright owners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The \u00ab\u00a0Calif. R112\u00a0\u00bb IR collection is based on and seeking to recreate the sound of a Rect 1×12 cabinet. This small cabinet comes stock with one V30, made in UK. The recording tones you can get from this small cabinet are truly amazing : and they are everything but \u00ab\u00a0mini\u00a0\u00bb, IMHO. The bass is tight and controlled and the upper-end has that typical bite. This cab is meant to be paired with (mini) Rectifier amps, but many other amps and pedals will also pair very well (though you may need to boost your bass a little bit). I recorded this collection with my CLASS D amp, in neutral settings without any eq (actually, the only eq used at capture time is a low-cut for some of the ribbon microphones). I used two specific positions on the cab, that produce two variations of the tone : one is very rich, lively and a little bit scooped, the other one is more \u00ab\u00a0tamed\u00a0\u00bb with less extension in the bass and contained highs. I kept the two and decided to share them as I enjoy both of them. I found these IRs to be extremely addictive and spent hours playing with them when testing them and tweaking recording positions, so I hope you will enjoy them as well ! If you use an amp with a massive low-end (say a Dual Rectifier) or if you play with low tunings, you may need to raise your low-cut to regain clarity (100-120 Hz for example).<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Small samples with a larger mic set (not all these microphones are published in version 1.0). Drop B AHB3, OD 808, Dual Rectifier Ch2 \/ modern, Torpedo Reload , Logic ProX, Nadir. Low-cut between 95 and 120 Hz, depending on IRs. CH5 suffix is for light THU CHR5 chorus for stereo widening of sample. Note : I kept the same record for the amp tone and did not adjust gain level between samples : with some IRs \/ positions the tone may be a little bit squashed with a distorsion a little bit too high… adjust our gain to the IR result to get more refined and polished results.<\/p>\n\n\n\nCAB and mics<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
