Until Gen 4 (see below), IR length was usually 50 ms (though some early collections may be shorter). As of Gen 4, IR length is set to 100 ms. IRs are provided in MPT format : you will probably need to adjust their phase if you want to mix them with IRs from other vendor\/provider in non-MPT format.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Three amps are used for overdriven.fr IRs capture : one using KT88 valves, another one using 6L6 valves and a third CLASS-D one : this is generally mentioned in the collection name of the IR files and in the readme file of the collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These IRs are systematically tested under Nadir running in Logic Pro X, and they are sometimes tested under Two-Notes WOS (still under Logic Pro X), Libra, the Two-Note CAB M. pedal and the Mooer Radar pedal and Overloud SuperCabinet. They will also work well on Hotone Ampero and Mooer GE multi-effects, the Kemper Profiler, Line 6 Helix or Tonex plugin and the Tonex pedal, the TC Impulse Loader, the Engl CabLoader for example. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In case of issue -unability to load them- please leave a comment on this page with the complete file name of the IR and the software or hardware you are having issue with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All mics positions are not available and all positions that I record are not made available in the free collections. Distances and positions may be different from one cabinet, microphone or speaker to the other. Sometimes processed versions of the IR can be provided. You can get started with a high level of medium (11H or 12H) and high level of bass (11H or 12H)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You may need to slightly boost the 100H to 500\/700 HZ frequency range in order to get more presence and bass.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>These IRs may need an output volume boost in order to sound as loud as OwnHammer or Two-Notes average IRs (from +0,5 DB to +2 DB for example). Please remind that EQ settings might impact the overall volume of the IR as well.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>And more generally : <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pay attention to P00, P05, P09 positions , especially at high volume, as they can be harsh (with a high level of treble).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I suggest to use low-cut filter (50HZ-120HZ) and high-cut filter (7500 HZ or less) to achieve better results.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For Two-Notes systems : <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>On WOS \/ CABM \/ CABM+ \/ CaptorX, select 40 ms and original (up to Gen 3 ), 40 ms or 100 ms original in Gen 4<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"file-naming-convention\">File naming convention<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>IR are provided as collections : a collection represents a recording session, with a given amp, CAB, speaker and mics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The file names of the IR look like the following : <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\/overdriven.fr\/6L6-SerieII\/Fatboy-G12K100\/OD-FB-G12K100-E906-P10-25.wav<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The recording position uses a number with the following convention:<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"586\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/overdriven.fr\/overdriven\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/overdrivenfr-ir-mic-positionsv2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-570\" srcset=\"https:\/\/overdriven.fr\/overdriven\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/overdrivenfr-ir-mic-positionsv2.png 586w, https:\/\/overdriven.fr\/overdriven\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/overdrivenfr-ir-mic-positionsv2-257x300.png 257w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 586px) 100vw, 586px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Mic positions<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>File names are made of the following parts : <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>OD-FB-G12K100-E906-P10-25.wav : OD_&lt;CAB&gt;_&lt;HP&gt;_&lt;MICRO&gt;_&lt;POSITION&gt;_&lt;DISTANCE&gt;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>OD is the prefix for our IRs (OverDriven.fr)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>FB : codified CAB name, in this case a Zilla\u00ae Fatboy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>G12K100 is the speaker name : a Celestion\u00ae G12K100<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>E906 : a  Sennheiser\u00ae E906 mic<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>P10 : mic position 10 (Cap Edge)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>25 : mic at a distance of 25 mm (distances are approximate), i.e. 1 inch.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>File names may sometimes contain other information such as \u00ab\u00a0HPF\u00a0\u00bb or \u00ab\u00a0v2\u00a0\u00bb, or settings used in a specific capture session, such as :\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>-M0 to -M7 indicates some EQ was applied to reduce the medium scoop<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>-BRIGHT is a preamp effect applied to boost mids and high frequencies.
